Before we meet

How to sign up and get started with SuperGrok

Most people have heard about AI. It sounds like science fiction, but it is already on phones and computers people use every day.

There are many AI services out there. The most common name you’ve probably heard is ChatGPT. ChatGPT is just one of many. Others have different names and slightly different strengths. Think of them like different brands of the same kind of tool: a calculator is a calculator, but some are better for school math and some are better for work. People use AI for ordinary things:

  • asking a question in plain English instead of digging through a dozen websites
  • writing a short email or rewriting something so it is clearer
  • summarizing a long article or a pile of notes
  • talking out loud when typing is hard
  • making a checklist for the day
  • learning a new topic step by step

You stay in charge. The AI answers; you decide what to do with the answer. It is not a doctor, not a bank, and not a replacement for the people who love you.

Why Grok is different (for what we do together)

I use Grok — from a company called xAI — with the people I sit with on Zoom or FaceTime.

Two parts matter for this project:

  • Grok itself — chat and voice on your phone or laptop. You can ask questions, get help writing, and talk hands-free when that is easier.
  • Grok Bots (bot assistants) — small helpers on your account that can keep a job going after the chat closes. For this service, that might mean a daily check-in, a reminder about an important appointment (and what that visit is for), or a medicine-time nudge on the phone you already use. You stay in control; it is not medical care and not a robot taking over.

Other AI tools are fine for chatting. Grok is the one I set up with you because it fits the bots and routines we plan for your day.

Before we meet: SuperGrok

SuperGrok is the paid plan for Grok. It is about $30 per month, paid to xAI (not to me). I ask you to set it up before our one-hour meeting so we can use the full tools during the Zoom or FaceTime session.

You can read the official plans here: https://x.ai/pricing and https://grok.com/plans

Step-by-step: sign up and start SuperGrok

Do this on a computer or phone you will keep using. Have a credit or debit card ready if you plan to subscribe. Take your time.

Step 1 — Open Grok

Go to https://grok.com in your browser (Chrome or Safari is fine). Optional (phone apps): Search Grok in the Apple App Store or Google Play and confirm the publisher is xAI / related to X Corp. Official overview: https://x.ai/grok

Step 2 — Create an account or sign in

On https://grok.com, choose Sign in / create account. You can usually use email, Google, Apple, or an X account — pick whatever you already use and trust. Write down (or save in your password manager) which method you used. You will need the same login on the day we meet.

Step 3 — Confirm you can chat

Ask Grok something simple, like: “Explain what you are in one short sentence.” If it answers, your free account is working. Good. We still want SuperGrok for the session.

Step 4 — Open plans / pricing

Open https://x.ai/pricing or https://grok.com/plans. Look for SuperGrok (about $30/month). There may be other plans (Lite, Heavy, etc.). For our meeting, SuperGrok is the one I mean unless we agreed otherwise in writing.

Step 5 — Subscribe to SuperGrok

From https://grok.com while signed in, open Settings, then Billing / Subscription (wording can vary slightly). Direct billing shortcut (while logged in): https://grok.com/?_s=billing Choose SuperGrok, follow the payment screens, and finish checkout. App Store note: If you subscribe inside the iPhone or Android app, Apple or Google may handle the payment. That is okay — just remember which path you used so you can manage the subscription later.

Step 6 — Confirm it worked

Go back to Settings → Billing / Subscription (or https://grok.com/?_s=billing). You should see SuperGrok (or your paid plan name) as active. You do not need to build bots yet. That is what our hour is for.

Step 7 — You’re ready for our meeting

When SuperGrok is active, finish the short questions on my site and book the hour:

Weeknights, Zoom or FaceTime. Not medical care — a setup on an assistant you control.

Stuck?

If a button looks different than this page, that is normal — companies change menus. Use https://grok.com, https://x.ai/pricing, and https://grok.com/plans as your home bases. Bring any “I’m stuck on this screen” note to our call; we will finish the setup together.
